Since 2024, prop firms serving US traders have largely moved away from MetaTrader because of licensing restrictions. Most now offer CFD-style evaluations on platforms such as cTrader, Match-Trader or DXtrade, or futures evaluations on futures platforms connected to regulated exchanges. Whatever the platform, US-focused prop software needs a CRM that automates challenges and rule checks, strong KYC before payouts, fraud and copy-trade detection, ACH and instant payouts, and the flexibility to run more than one platform.
- MetaTrader access for prop firms with US clients has been restricted since 2024.
- Choose between CFD-style evaluations on alternative platforms and futures-based evaluations.
- A multi-platform CRM protects you if a platform changes its terms again.
- KYC, fraud detection and clear rules matter most at payout time.
- Take US legal advice on how your evaluations, payouts and marketing are structured.
Looking for a multi-platform prop CRM? Challenges, payouts and fraud controls across cTrader, Match-Trader and more.
The United States is one of the biggest markets for prop trading, and one of the most changeable. In 2024 many prop firms had to pause US sign-ups or switch platforms after MetaQuotes restricted MetaTrader access. This guide explains the platform options and the software a prop firm needs to serve US traders reliably.
What changed in 2024
Prop firms traditionally ran evaluations on MetaTrader 4 or 5 through broker white labels. In early 2024, MetaQuotes moved against prop firms using MetaTrader for US clients. Several firms stopped accepting US traders and others migrated to different platforms. The lesson for new firms: do not depend on a single platform. For context on US rules, read starting a prop firm or broker in the USA.

What your prop CRM must do
- Sell challenges with checkout, coupons and affiliate tracking.
- Create accounts automatically on each platform after payment.
- Check rules in real time: daily loss, max drawdown, profit target, minimum days and consistency.
- Manage phases: evaluation, verification and funded stages.
- Run KYC before payouts, including identity and sanctions checks.
- Pay out through ACH, wires, instant payments (RTP and FedNow) or other methods.
- Report pass rates, payout ratios and revenue by product.
Our prop CRM does this across several platforms. Read prop firm CRM: challenges, evaluations and payouts.
Fraud and abuse controls
- Duplicate account detection by identity, device, IP and payment method.
- Copy trading and group trading detection across accounts.
- Latency arbitrage and prohibited strategy checks.
- Chargeback monitoring on challenge purchases.
Build for change
Platform terms, payment providers and rules can change quickly. A multi-platform set-up, where one CRM connects to several platforms, lets you add or switch platforms without rebuilding your business.
